Stefanie Kessen, M.Ed, founder of The Online Itinerant, has over 25 years of experience working with students with hearing loss and building relationships with the team that supports those children. Her roles have included Teacher of the Deaf, Community Interpreter, Education Specialist, and Family Advocate.

In 2017, she recognized that the key to changing the lives of the children was to support the adults who work with them. Through this epiphany, the vision of the Online Itinerant, an online portal that would create a community of support and provide for Professional Development needs and beyond, was born. The Online Itinerant currently supports nearly 1,000 professionals and family members or children who are deaf or hard of hearing, by building a community, providing professional development, and giving access to tools and resources through an online platform.
